Product Details

Elegant sparkle shining through the lacquer
Unlike traditional Wakasa lacquerware chopsticks, which often have showy patterns based on red or black, "Sanka" is designed to bring out the shine of gold and mother-of-pearl, and the refinement that glows from deep within the lacquer.

By layering lacquer, the mother-of-pearl shines softly, as if through a haze, while the golden base appears on the surface like sparkling light. The result is a refined finish that is not flashy and blends naturally into everyday meals.

Accent of separately painted areas
The separately painted areas are finished by hand, one by one. Faded golden patterns that look like brush strokes serve as an accent, creating a soft, modern look.

Lacquer chopsticks for everyday use
"Sanka" uses MR lacquer, which is resistant to heat and dryness and is dishwasher-safe.
It can be used in a dishwasher, which was once difficult with lacquer chopsticks, so it offers not only fine beauty but also ease of use every day.

A thick layer of lacquer is applied to about 1.5cm of the chopstick tips as a non-slip grip, protecting the tips, which are prone to wear.
The smooth feel in the mouth makes it easy to handle slippery foods such as sashimi, tofu, and noodles.

Beauty that deepens with use
The more lacquer is used, the more translucent it becomes, and the shine of the mother-of-pearl beneath it appears even more beautiful.
The color of the chopsticks also gradually grows brighter over time, and the way their appearance changes with each use is part of the charm unique to lacquer.

The joy of choosing a color
The 4 colors of red, blue, yellow, and black were chosen based on traditional colors used in Wakasa lacquerware.
They are perfect for yourself, and also recommended as a gift chosen with someone special in mind.

The wish behind the name "Sanka"
The name "Sanka" carries our wish to bring the beauty of Wakasa lacquerware to modern life.

"San" (燦) expresses the radiant glow of firelight, and "ka" (花) means flower, echoing the golden patterns that dance like petals.

We hope to keep the flame of Wakasa lacquerware burning, so that its beauty will be passed on to the future.

Other colors
From the same "Sanka" series, you can also choose yellow or black.
