[Highlights]
・ Edo glass, a traditional craft handed down since the Edo period
・Entirely handmade, each piece is one of a kind
A snow-capped Mt. Fuji is expressed on the bottom of the glass by sand carving. It won the Grand Prix and the Commissioner of the Japan Tourism Agency Award at the "Omiyage Grand Prix 2015," sponsored by the Japan Tourism Agency of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. The color of the drink poured into the glass is reflected on the mountain surface, so you can enjoy a variety of expressions.
About Tajima Glass
Tajima Glass is a glass manufacturer that makes "Edo glass" and "Edo Kiriko," which have been handed down since the Edo period.

We do not want to let the techniques of the Edo period die out. We want to pass the tradition on to the future. At Tajima Glass, we carry on the techniques of mold blowing, thin-stem making, mole (applied thread) decoration, casing (overlay), and stretching. Rather than mass-producing by machine, everything is done by hand, and each piece is original and one of a kind.

The Mt. Fuji Glass, Winner of the "Commissioner of the Japan Tourism Agency Award"
Tajima Glass's signature work is the "Mt. Fuji Glass." In 2015, it won the "Omiyage Grand Prix" and the "Commissioner of the Japan Tourism Agency Award."
The Fuji Glass depicts a snow-capped Mt. Fuji on the bottom of the glass. The color of the drink poured into the glass is beautifully reflected on the mountain surface. It brings out the beauty of the glass to the fullest, and its charm lies in showing different expressions depending on what is poured and the light.
