[Highlights]
・ Edo glass, a traditional craft handed down since the Edo period
・Entirely handmade, each piece is one of a kind

A new Edo kiriko model has been added to the Mt. Fuji Glass series. Among Edo kiriko patterns, "kiku-tsunagi" (connected chrysanthemums) is one of the most iconic and requires a high level of skill. "Hayate" is cut boldly, while "Akari" is cut in a cute style.

"Kiku-tsunagi" is a technique that combines long vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines to depict a continuous series of chrysanthemum flowers.

About Tajima Glass

Tajima Glass is a glass maker that produces "Edo glass" and "Edo kiriko," traditions handed down since the Edo period.

We do not want to let the techniques of the Edo period die out. We want to connect tradition to the future. At Tajima Glass, we carry on the techniques of mold blowing, thin stem making, mol (glass thread decoration), casing, and stretching. Rather than mass production by machine, everything is done by hand, making each piece original and one of a kind.
